About
Matt Wellington, CAT(C)
Certified Athletic Therapist
I’m a Certified Athletic Therapist, CAT(C), and a graduate of the Athletic and Exercise Therapy program at Camosun College.
During my studies, I ensured on-field safety of sports teams at both the high-school and university levels, developing rehab plans so athletes could continue competing safely.
Along with working with athletes, I enjoy helping people overcome injuries that keep them from daily activities, whether it’s returning to work, picking up groceries, or resuming the active lifestyle you enjoy. From initial assessment through personalized treatment and home-rehab planning, I can help with chronic low back pain and tendinitis to post-ACL surgery care, acute strains and sprains, and repetitive stress injuries.
Raised in Vancouver, I’ve called Victoria home for the past four years. I’m a former world cup climber and continue to enjoy the outdoors through hiking, climbing, and beach volleyball. My treatment philosophy is to provide hands-on treatment, personalized exercise programs, and the tools you need to maintain your progress well beyond each session.
